Fife: domestic abuse, Ask for Ani #youarenotalone

                 

Ask for ANI (Action Needed Immediately) is a new codeword scheme to provide a discreet way for victims of domestic abuse to signal that they need emergency help from the safety of their local pharmacy.
All Boots and Dears pharmacies in Fife are taking part in the scheme. If you don’t have one near you there are other pharmacies providing a Safe Space for victims of domestic abuse:

Morrisons, Main Street, Cowdenbeath
Morrisons, Largo Road, St Andrews
Cadham Pharmacy, Glenrothes
Lindsay and Gilmour, Dunfermline
Lindsay and Gilmour, Inverkeithing

Update On Veterans ID Cards



Update from Veterans UK

We have been receiving requests for information on veterans ID Cards.
Behind the scenes there is a lot of work going on at present across Government, the Charity sector and other providers to improve services for veterans, all linked to the Armed Forces Covenant.
The delay in offering an ID card to veterans more widely is partly so that the Department can complete work to consider how best a future card, or veterans identity approach, can support these services for veterans in the future

NHS Cadets




England’s Chief Nurse has called on young people to become NHS Cadets and gain valuable experience of volunteering in health and care. The programme, launched last year, helps teenagers to develop the skills needed for an NHS career by volunteering in vaccine centres, supporting elderly people in the community, and undertaking first aid training.
