Opportunity to Support Local Students – Join Wyedean School’s Board of Trustees

The team at Wyedean School are keen to welcome someone from 1 RIFLES to join their Board of Trustees – and we think this is a brilliant chance to make a real difference in the lives of local students.

No educational or governance background is needed – full training is provided. What matters most is someone who’s enthusiastic, community-minded, and keen to get involved.

Meetings are mostly online via Microsoft Teams
Trustees receive their own school email and access to resources
Meetings last around 1.5–2 hours
Full Board meets 4 times a year (2 online, 2 in person – Dec & July)

Committee involvement is encouraged – current vacancies in:

Home-Start offers friendship, practical support and emotional advice in the homes of families who are having difficulties managing parenting for a variety of different reasons such poor mental health, post-natal depression, disability, domestic abuse, bereavement, isolation and multiple births.

Our mission is to give children the best possible start in life, by supporting parents so they grow in confidence, strengthening and enjoying their relationships with their children and widening their links with the local community.
