Vale of Glamorgan: Applications for Secondary School Admissions for September 2026 start are open

Applications to apply for Secondary School in September 2026 are now open.

Parents and guardians of children who are due to start Secondary in September 2026 can apply now until the deadline of 21st November 2025.

Please apply for 3 schools in order of preference. We recommended that one preference is for your child's catchment school.

For Welsh Medium Education you are not required to submit 3 school preferences. 

Please select Ysgol Bro Morgannwg as the only school of preference.

Wiltshire: 'Be Flood Ready' campaign

 

With winter approaching and the risk of heavy rainfall increasing, Wiltshire Council is encouraging residents and businesses to take simple steps now to prepare for potential flooding.

Flooding can happen quickly and cause serious disruption to homes, roads, and communities. That's why the council has launched a campaign to raise awareness of local flood risks and promote practical actions that can help reduce damage and keep people safe.

Wiltshire: 'Restart A Heart' sessions across the county - Thu 16 Oct


This month, leisure centres across Wiltshire will support a nationwide initiative aimed at improving survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.

Restart a Heart takes place on Thursday 16 October and to support the campaign, Wiltshire Council leisure centres will host free CPR demonstrations and hands-on "have-a-go" sessions. The interactive sessions will teach the basics of CPR and defibrillator use, using trusted resources provided by RLSS UK. The goal is to give people the confidence and competence to act swiftly in an emergency. Full details of the sessions being offered can be found at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure-events.
