Amat lies inland from the east coast about 50 miles north of Inverness. The nearest villages are Ardgay (9 miles) and Bonar Bridge (10 miles). By road, the journey time from Inverness is about 1 hour. The remote location of the property, on a no through road, lends itself to a relaxing break, although there is phone signal and broadband if needed!

The property sleeps up to up to 8 people - three twin-bedded rooms and one double room with an accompanying ensuite shower room. There are a further two bathrooms, one on the ground floor near the main entrance and a second on the first floor.

Chepstow: Chepstow Wassail and Mari Lwyd on Sat 24th Jan


Chepstow Mari Lwyd is an annual tradition and spectacle in Monmouthshire, held every year in the Welsh border town of Chepstow.

Come to Chepstow this January and enjoy one of the most interesting traditions in Wales, the annual New Year Wassail and Mari Lwyd procession. It's sure to be a spectacle as different Morris groups parade their traditional Beasts and Mari's through the town alongside dancing, singing, music and good cheer. Hosted by the Widders Border Morris.

Haverfordwest Town Council invites you to a Rededication Ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of the closure of the United States Naval Facility at Brawdy.

The anchor, presented to the Town Council in 1996, commemorates twenty-two years of service and symbolises the enduring friendship between our communities and allies.

Former personnel, their families, and all those with an interest in the history of Brawdy are warmly invited, as well as members of the public. If you know anyone who might like to attend, please share this invitation.

The purpose of the research is to find out what UK Armed Forces Veterans living in Coventry and Warwickshire think about health and social care research. For the purposes of this survey the definition of a Veteran is someone who has served for one day or more in either the Regular or Reserve UK Armed Forces.
