Corsham: 'The Open Space' - supporting community wellbeing with Wiltshire Mind

 

Wiltshire Mind are delighted to introduce The Open Space, a new community wellbeing initiative supporting connection, creativity and a sense of belonging.

The Open Space offers a relaxed, inclusive environment where people can come together, meet others, take part in gentle activities, or simply spend time in a welcoming space. Everyone is welcome, and no experience is needed.

Outdoor Wellbeing Sessions
Mondays | 10.00am – 12.30pm
These sessions focus on gentle outdoor activities, including gardening, building, connecting with others or simply enjoying time in nature. Designed to be low‑pressure and supportive, participants can join in as much or as little as they like.

Connect & Create Sessions
Tuesdays | 2.00pm – 4.30pm
These sessions provide a relaxed creative space, held indoors or outdoors depending on the activity and weather. They offer an opportunity to connect with others and take part in creative activities in a friendly, informal setting.

Location: Corsham Gymnastics Association, SN13 9RS
All sessions are drop‑in and open to everyone.

North Wiltshire: Free child car seat safety checks this week in Chippenham, Devizes & Warminster

 

Wiltshire Council is inviting parents, carers and grandparents to a series of free child car seat safety check events taking place in the county this April.

Specialist car seat safety advisors will be on hand at each event from 10am to 3pm, offering friendly, no-judgement support on how to correctly choose, fit and use child car seats.

The events will take place at:
  • Tuesday 21 April - Morrisons, Weymouth Street, Warminster
  • Wednesday 22 April - Morrisons, Estcourt Street, Devizes
  • Thursday 23 April - Lidl, Hungerdown Lane, Chippenham

Northern Ireland: Step by Step in Remembrance - Northern Ireland's Veterans Commissioner Office Sponsored Walk - 1st - 6th June

 

Step by Step in Remembrance.
This June, the Northern Ireland Veterans Commissioner’s Office will be undertaking a sponsored walk to mark the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.

Over 6 days, across 6 counties, covering 60 miles, we will walk in remembrance of those who served, while supporting two incredible charities:
Somme Association
Air Ambulance Northern Ireland

We warmly invite veterans, their families, and supporters to join us along the way, whether for a full day or just a few miles.

Walk Schedule:
• 1 June – County Antrim: Cullybackey → Ballymena → Broughshane
• 2 June – County Down: Annalong → Kilkeel
• 3 June – County Armagh: Armagh → Portadown
• 4 June – County Fermanagh: Brookeborough → Enniskillen
• 5 June – County Tyrone: Dungannon → Cookstown
• 6 June – County Londonderry: Castlerock → Coleraine → Portrush

Start times for each day will be shared on our Facebook page closer to the time, so please keep an eye out for updates.

This is more than a walk, it’s a chance to reflect, remember, and stand together as a community.
