New Forest: Disney and Pixar Cars are back at Beaulieu until 1st November

Some of the world's most loved stars from the Disney and Pixar Cars franchise cruise into the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu from 29th June 26.

Some very special guests are making a pit stop at the National Motor Museum as Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm and Finn McMissile roll in for a limited time stay to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original film. It's the perfect opportunity for families to meet these fan-favourite racers and Radiator Springs residents as they take a break from the track and world adventures to meet fans face to face.

This brand-new display will feature iconic themed props including the Piston Cup and a new gaming experience which will take aspiring racers on a thrilling journey inspired by the fast-paced world of Disney and Pixar’s Cars, will come later in summer, all showcased within a brand-new dedicated space.

This is your chance to meet the lifesize models of Disney and Pixar Cars that have been winning hearts since 2006… so come along, get your cameras out, and be ready to say…"Ka Chow!"

Dundee: Highland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (HFRCA) vacancy for Cadet Administrative Assistant with Angus & Dundee Battalion - closing date noon 7th August

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Cadet Administration Assistant (CAA) within HRFCA. The successful applicant will provide administrative and logistical support to Angus & Dundee Battalion (Bn) ACF. Applicants coming from an Armed Forces background with RQMS/CQMS appointments would be advantageous. Other applications that show suitable experience may be considered. Through their inter-personal skills be able to deliver G1/G2/G4 advice using relevant Joint Service Publications (JSPs) to Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAV) within their Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Bovington: Tank musuem launch their new children's adventure book

Titled Marjorie & RaaRaa at The Tank Museum, Rosanna’s new book sees a little girl named Marjorie exploring The Tank Museum alongside RaaRaa, her blue leopard friend.

The book follows the adventurous pair as they explore each part of the Museum, sightseeing and playing in interactive exhibitions.

Dorset: Lulworth Range walks & Tyneham Village, public access information

The Lulworth Ranges are part of the AFV (Armoured Fighting Vehicles) Gunnery School, an important training establishment of the British Army.

The Lulworth Range walks  open to the public every weekend and during peak summer months however may be closed at certain times. Please check latest opening times by clicking HERE. 

Tyneham Village was evacuated in 1943 during WWII when the area was needed for military training and has been deserted ever since. You can walk around the buildings and read the many information boards about life back then. 

You can also walk down to Worborrow Bay from the village which offers stunning views of the coastline. 

It’s always best to check Tyneham Village online before visiting to see opening days and times which is mostly weekends and main public holidays. Tyneham Village gate permits vehicle access and opens at 9am when no military activity is taking place and is closed at dusk each evening. The exhibitions in Tyneham School and Tyneham Church are open from 10am until 4pm on non-firing days however this may vary depening on the time of year.

In the car park you will see an honesty box with a suggested £4 parking charge.
