Celebrating Forces Families Awards Finalists 2023: Military Family Charity





The Celebrating Forces Families (CFF) Awards Team is so excited to congratulate its three amazing finalists for the Military Family Charity Award. The winner will be announced at a celebrity-presented Awards evening in London on 28th April.

This award is for a charity or Community Interest Company (CIC) which has provided exemplar support to Armed Forces families during 2022.

The finalists are:

· The Ripple Pond

· Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS)

· Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC)

The Ripple Pond
The Ripple Pond is a peer-led charity supporting adult family members of physically or psychologically injured British Armed Forces personnel and veterans. The charity has built a supportive peer community that stretches across the UK that is supported by a team of staff and volunteers many of whom have lived experience. Through its unique range of services that are co-produced with its Members, it reduces isolation and builds confidence, resilience, and well-being among these family carers.
Defence Medical Welfare Service

Defence Medical Welfare Service

DMWS is a non-profit organisation that provides welfare support to current and veteran service men and women across various settings such as hospitals, communities, and bases, as well as through the Veteran Trauma Network. They take a holistic approach to supporting individuals by addressing all areas of their lives, including home, health, family, and finances, to help make daily life more manageable.
Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity

Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity
RNRMC support Armed Forces families through grants, funding, and collaborative partnerships. They offer a range of services, including financial assistance, housing support and counselling. RNRMC provide access to healthcare and mental health support for veterans and their families. Their work ensures that Naval families have the resources they need to thrive both during and after their service.

The Awards evening

Friday 28th April 2023 will see a formal dinner and awards ceremony held at the Victory Services Club, London. The Awards are supported by the Ministry of Defence through its Partner Employment Working Group.

Actor and SSAFA Ambassador, Antony Cotton is also returning as a guest presenter at the Awards.
