Chepstow Town Council: Remembrance in Chepstow: Honouring the Past, Reflecting for the Future
This year, Chepstow Town Council is proud to work alongside the Royal British Legion to host Chepstow’s Remembrance Parade on Sunday, 9th November.
Remembrance is more than a ceremony; it is a moment for our community to pause together. It’s a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of all those who have been affected by conflict, past and present, and to give thanks to those who gave their lives so that we may live freely today.
As we gather in silence, we honour not only those who never came home, but also the families who carry their memory, and those who continue to serve around the world.
Parade Details:
The parade will begin from Welsh Street Car Park at 10:40am, led by the band, proceeding through the Town Arch and down the High Street to the War Memorial, where wreaths will be laid and the Last Post will be played before the two-minute silence at 11:00am.
A service will follow at St Mary’s Church, after which the parade will reform and return to Welsh Street Car Park at approximately 12:15pm.
To ensure a safe and dignified event, road closures will be in place along the parade route.
