What's on at Dyffryn Gardens this Autumn

This autumn, Dyffryn Gardens is bursting with colour, creativity and seasonal celebrations! From self-led trails and immersive tours to family fun at half term, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s what’s on:

Autumn Walk at Dyffryn Gardens
26–30 September | 10am–5pm


Take a self-led stroll with a special autumn map and watch the gardens change as the season unfolds. Collect your trail leaflet and return throughout autumn to see how the colours shift and deepen.

Fall into Autumn Celebrations
26 September – 31 October | 10am–5pm daily


Celebrate the season with striking gourd and flower displays, autumnal sculptures, creative kits, an indoor decoration display, sensory reflections, and a brand-new autumn audio tour. A true multi-sensory celebration of the season!


New Autumn Audio Tour
26 September – 31 October | 10am–5pm daily


Borrow a headset and enjoy a guided journey with Dyffryn’s Head Gardener and Head Arborist as they share their favourite trees, seasonal highlights and stories of the gardens.

Do You Dare? October Half Term Fun
25 October – 2 November | 10am–5pm


Perfect for ages 3–11! Explore the gardens with seven creepy-crawly inspired activities including games, dares and minibeast challenges.

Halloween Half Term Silent Disco
28–30 October | Four sessions daily: 10:30am–3:30pm


Cut spooky shapes in the Theatre Garden at this family-friendly silent disco! Fancy dress encouraged. Pay-what-you-feel donation (£3–5 per headset suggested).

Autumn Arboretum Tours
Friday 24 October & Tuesday 4 November | 11am–12:30pm


Join Dyffryn’s Head Arborist, Rory Ambrose, for an in-depth tour of the Arboretum at its most colourful time of year. Pay-what-you-feel donation (suggested £5).

Good to know:

All events are free with normal admission (free entry for National Trust members).
Most routes are accessible, but please ask the Welcome Team for the best options.
Dress for the weather and wear comfy shoes.
