Stafford: Staffordshire smart alert - E-Scooters

We are continuing to receive reports of young children/teenagers riding E scooters through Stafford Town Centre and surrounding areas at speed.

Whilst this is extremely dangerous - E Scooters are illegal to ride on a public highway/place.

Today, officers have seized 2 E Scooters that had been seen to be riding through the town. They will now be sent for destruction.

Can we please ask parents to be mindful of the laws for E Scooters.

The laws are in place to protect both the riders and the general public.
