Chatham: save a baby's life workshop - 9th July 1800-2000hrs


The Royal Life Saving Society UK's 'Save a Baby's Life' workshops aim to teach basic emergency skills to anyone who cares for a baby. 

You will learn:

- Infant Life Support (CPR)

- Infant choking (diagnosis and treatment)

- Infant drowning (diagnosis and treatment)

Held at the Lampard Centre, Brompton, Sally Port, ME7 5BU. Deadline for bookings is 6th July 1600hrs.

Lancashire - Preston: The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment 20th Anniversary Event - 4th July 2026


We’re proud to celebrate 20 years of The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment with a special anniversary event in Preston on 4th July.

Join us for a ceremonial parade through the city centre led by The Band of The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment , followed by a families day at Fulwood Barracks.

This is a chance to meet our soldiers, explore military equipment and celebrate alongside the community that has supported us over the past two decades.
There will be a DJ and entertainment from our Fijian Choir plus FREE FAIRGROUND RIDES FOR ALL!

4th July

Families Day 12pm
Free entry

Anyone affiliated to the regiment or its antecedents is welcome to attend.

Weeton: LCC Mobile Library Services - upcoming dates for 2026


Mobile Library - Weeton Barracks

Our five mobile vans travel across the Lancashire region and are based at Heysham, Garstang, Brierfield, Clayton Green, and Ormskirk. Routes are covered on a three-weekly basis with over 700 stops and a wide range of books to suit all tastes. Titles are changed regularly, with new ones being added frequently. Books can also be ordered, just the same as in a static library. A variety of audio books and CDs are also available.

New customers are always welcome, and you can join simply by going to the vehicle to be signed up.

The mobile library will be situated on the car park opposite Honeypot nursery on Weeton Barracks at 1pm - 1.30pm on the following dates:
